(UN)EARTHING

In (un)earthing, Jac Ford investigates her journey from lost young adult, foreign to herself, to empowered woman, unafraid of her potential.  Her quirky pop references mixed with poignant language transport us into Ford's heart, mind, and body space as she wrestles with being in a femme body holding onto traumatic physical and emotional experiences. Ford asks, How can we find ourselves after surviving for so long? How do we move forward in a world wanting linear healing while we're stuck in a Jeremy Bearimy, non-linear, timeline of finding homeostasis? Can we?

An accessible, searing debut collection of truthful and radiant poems about finding and embracing oneself, baggage and all, (un)earthing illustrates what happens when we learn to commune with our Bodies and our past in order to move forward in harmony.
